The Wagon has a lot of appeal. I have yet to convince my wife that she needs one when we replace her Mercedes. If Cadillac made an SRX V, I could get her to switch.

Great apples and oranges comparo. Just goes to show that even a brick can be put into orbit if you spend enough $$$.

I'm a few hundred miles in and it's been awesome. The ONLY downside I've seen so far is the mileage. It sucks. However, I knew that going in, so I don't really care. It's just the hassle factor of filling up every few hundred miles in a daily driver.

It's worth it for sure, though.

Congrats, they are great cars. I had an 09 V sedan, manual trans, for two years and really enjoyed it. The only negatives are the weight and MPG. I grew to hate 13mpg average! Comparing my 11 Z06 the things that really stand out are technology - NAV, bluetooth, hard drive media, etc - the Caddy makes the Vette look like a 1980s product. I have to say I actually chuckled when I realized the cruise control on my new 2011 Z06 was the old fashioned kind on the turn signal stalk.

Congrats on the caddy! I recommend you do exaust, pulleys and injectors. The drivability is,...well a bit more fun to work.
My wife's '11' CTS-V "kiddy wagon" is faster than my ZR1!
Still trying to figure out what to do about this.

Sounds to me like you need to start modding the ZR1

I remember all those big Caddies of the late '50s, with their big engines and 2-4s, but at the end of the day they were still big 4 door sedans, not Corvettes.

I hadn't driven the ZR1 since this past weekend and I got the V on Wednesday and put a few hundred miles on it from Wed through Friday evening. I was thinking how nice the V was and how the interior was nicer, more features, smooth ride, strong power, and I got to thinking whether the V was superior to the ZR1 overall??

Well, I took the Z out this morning up to a car gathering and ripped it up there on some tollroads, ran a 740ish rwhp CTS-V (lost by 1-2 cars to 140mph), ran a 585whp GT-R (pulled him by about 2 cars) and ripped back home. The ZR1 feels so light and powerful. It's a full blown sports car and the CTS-V is a very nice and powerful sports sedan.

I still absolutely love the ZR1 and regret even thinking of the possibility of the V being better overall. It's not. It's very, very nice, but it's not even close to a ZR1. That said, Chevy needs to get the interior design and features up to 21st century levels in the Corvette. I didn't buy the Corvette for it's interior, but it's definitely deficient in that area compared to the $50k MSRP cheaper CTS-V.

The 2012 ZR1 interior is far superior to the 2010, no comparison, they finally did it right.

I'd say they did it better, but not right. They can still step it up when paying $120k for a car.
My biggest complaint is the fake carbon fiber center counsel when the outside of the car has so much real.
My Cady waggon has Recaros and alcantera, ZR1.....no. Plastic ***** and a crap nav. System.
Anyway, I consider myself a very lucky guy to be able to own both GM super cars. They are both a thrill to drive.
