These look very similar to the MT ET Street II tires I use on the silver car in my avatar (same compound - R2 and 18" wheel size). I don't know what the difference would be but the ET Street II work pretty well for 850 whp/ 780 wtq. In warmer weather it grips pretty well. 75* and lower I have to control the throttle mash.

Like ^^^ said they are an improved version of the ET street IIs. Better wet weather performance too.

Installed a set today. I don't particularly like how much the wheel edge protrudes from the tire. On the other hand, I can now get traction in 1st with ~650 rwhp.

Default The new M/T ET Street S/S drag radials?

Pics attached. Seems like this is likely installer error. I'll take them back tomorrow.

That may just be a characteristic of the tire. I spent 4 years installing tires and I don't think I've ever seen a tire that didn't seat the bead at all. A few inches maybe, but not around the entire rim. Unless the tires are for a smaller wheel or something.

That certainly does look unusual!

I looked again today in the daylight. It looks like rubber is definitely against the back face of the wheel. The tire just doesn't appear to have a shoulder around the bead. None of this really makes sense to me, so I'm going to pay to have someone else break them down and rebalance to be sure.

Took it to another tire place and they also feel the tire is installed correctly. The gap is even around both wheel faces. There is also a similar gap on the inside of the wheel.

Also, most of the tires in these sizes have a built in "rim protector" that hugs up against the lip. I don't think the mickeys do, as the rim protector makes the sidewalls less flexible.

A little bit more rubber would have gone a looong way to making these look better. The pictures make it look a little worse than it is, due to lighting. It's one of those things I'll notice all the time but most people won't.

I have, mainly on 18" and 19" rims. It took stupid pressure to get the bead to "pop" lots of lube too. But its only on one side, never both.

The lower profile, stiff sidewall tires are the worst. The guy who put the 225/40's on my 18x7 front Weld RTS's didn't have them seated all the way around, but I didn't see it til I was ready to put them on the car at home. I had to get really creative to get them all the way seated.

My rear 17x11 RTS rims stick out probably 1/4" past the tires, which are also Mickey Thompsons. I don't love the look, but it works.

I put the 345/35-18's ET SS's on about three weeks ago. They are working great, best 60ft's ever and alot more consistant to the 330ft. I had a 1.40 60ft where the best ever before was 1.42. They handle about the same but they are a lot quieter also with the new tread design.

The factory rims are made for a rim saver bead. I have CCW C2K's and they fit good. No Gap. Have 305/35-19 ET II's on my CTSV an they have the same gap.

I've had them on for a little while now, I like them, wet weather traction is way better than any other drag radial I have ever ran.

Wow those look great, I've been torn between the R888 and NT05R but these are starting to grow on me a lot.
