Default still looking

Hope everyone is well. OK, small update on my search for a low mileage 2010 ZR1 w\ the 3ZR option:

I now have $110,000 to spend, small increase from original posting, and am looking for a car either in CA. or in the west. Two primary reasons:

1) Need to be sure the car is coded \ setup for CA. emissions

2) Would like to not have to wait too long for a car to arrive from the east cost.

All that said, if a great deal on a great car comes from the east coast, I will action on it.

So, please shoot me a PM if you either have a nice ZR1 or know of one for sale.

Thanks again,
Chris

You don't even need $110,000. As noted there are prices far less than that. The best price found was the Red 2010 3ZR for $94,7000 that sold about 2 weeks ago in MO.

Default CA. Emissions

As I talk to dealers I am learning more about what is required for CA. emissions. Specifically, I need a ZR1 with the YF5 code, and, under the hood it should say "50 state compliant including CA." I know that sounds weird but that is what I am being told. So, at any rate, that is what I am looking to buy.

Thanks again,
Chris

So you are saying no one can make the car emissions compliant for Ca? Why would you even discuss anything with a dealer try one of the specialists in this area or a known source like the ZR1 registry and ask if anyone would be interested in parting with their car. Going to a dealer is like pissing money away unless you have those special money trees in your backyard or one of those cash cows in the barn. Good luck on the search here is a link for you, www.zr1netregistry.com/

I think your advise is worth much more than the dealers and yours is free the dealers is about 8k on a sale like this!

Onefast99,

Hope you are well. I really thought this would be easier than it is. I have the money and am ready to buy. Problem has been either the cars that are for sale are higher miileage cars and\or, when you account for shipping and CA. state sales tax at 9.25% $110,000 STILL is not enough. Crazy-making.

I may just put my disposable income elsewhere......

Take care,
Chris

Despite the claims made by GM that they "repaid" their loans to the US Government(they didn't)the market is getting softer for these cars. Give it a month or two and you will get the price you want to pay. In the meantime play RRC upside is 10 points in the next 30-45 days.

desertZR1,

Hope you are well and bad *** car. I am actually hoping to get a 2010 model (had an 09 and want launch control, etc.). Great price on your car though; I am sure it will sell fast.

Take care,
Chris
