Can't see the source yet.....suspect the dreaded pan gasket issue...
Will GM cover this on a 2007 with less than 19,000 miles?
Thanks to anyone who can enlighten me.....

You might try what I did to find where the oil seepage was coming from that was covering half of the pan but never dripped on the floor. I ran my car on ramps and sprayed engine cleaner on the pan, let it sit for a few minutes, then hosed it off. That was 8 months ago and the oil seepage never came back. The pan is perfectly dry. I don't know where the oil originally came from but it is gone now. Mine is an '07 auto.

Most of the warranty claims are denied unless the pan gasket is leaking so badly it causes drops on the floor. If it is just weeping, most dealers won't cover it. Sometimes it is the pan bolts that are leaking. You can get lucky and back out the bolts, cover with RTV and re-install.

if you've seen the gasket on the pan, it's pretty much bullet proof...I think when the dealer replaces it it stops the leak because the bolts are re-torqued. I suggest you get under and put a wrench on the bolts and give it a wrist lb/ft
might solve all problems.

I believe after studying the warranty details it will be covered.......
Hate taking it to the dealership but I need to get under it and investigate
the actual source.....the car sat for a few months (long story).... I never saw a drop before, but this is a dinner plate sized spot and I need to satisfy myself that I have the answer before I will take it to be repaired...
I like to know the answer before I ask any dealer / service department a
question!![Toe Tap](https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums/images/smilies/toetap05.gif)
Thanks to all
