Default Estimated RWHP?

I have a stock 2005 C6 Z51 with the 6-speed manual. Just ordered a couple things and was wondering what I could expect for actual RWHP?

- Magnaflow Exhaust system...no X-pipe or header
- 160 degree thermostat
- Vararam VR-SC1
- Vararam throttlebody spacer

Thanks for your help!

I have an 08 auto with a vararam and stingers. I dyno'ed in at 367hp 357tq. I'd say you're not far off from my numbers

Its got to be higher than 340 right? I am hoping to have 360 with a good tune. Next mods are CoW Booster and tune.

You lose 15% to 18% through the powertrain. 360 with a tune sounds right. I got almost 400 with headers, K&N, MagnaFlow and a tune.

Got over 500 with additional changes.

Your current mods won't show much of anything over stock on a dyno, so 340 is a gift. The CoW Booster only changes your foot pedal position related to the throttle plate, so no HP there either.

The tune done by a qualified tuner on a dyno will get the most immediate improvement. But if then tweaked on the street, will be the most performance increase. The Vararam on the dyno is insignificant, but makes power when moving. (faster is better )

If you're just looking for a number on a dyno sheet, you can create one of any HP on your computer for cheap. If real world performance figures are what you desire, then go to the dragstrip.

I am going for functional and reliable performance for the street. I just wanted a ballpark number to be able to tell someone when they say "wow, this thing is quick, how much horsepower does it have." After the CoW Booster and tune from Chuck in February, I am going to strap a 100hp Zex nitrous kit on it next year...that should be enough to get me in trouble I think. Thanks for the responses

Call me when you're ready.... Right now, I'm talking with VARARAM about a trip to their

facility in January or February.

I'm gonna be giving deals on VARARAMS, stats, tunes, headers, CoW BOOSTERS and

what ever other stuff I can think of.....

SPREAD THE WORD.... Chuck CoW is COMING TO TEXAS THIS WINTER!

340 is the baseline for what you have. A Tune is good for 20 rw. The VR
will give you more but not on the DYNO. The COW DEVICE will make your Car more responsive along with the tune. You need Headers (LT's) and a FAST Manifold with a Ported TB. You will notice quite a difference and
you just might make 400 RWHP. Good luck. Leon

Sure. I've seen ported throttle bodies pick up 7-9 rwhp consistently on many different vehicles including many of my own. Even responsiveness is improved. Nothing wrong with your product if people like the feel of accelerating faster, without actually gaining any hp or tq, but I prefer actual gains over perceived gains.
