I now do the wave and a double horn toot! Sometimes just the horn, other times if I see another Corvette early enough, I'll hit the window down button and stick my hand out/up. Hard to see through my tint and your tint. I've found I get more responses.
At speed I'm usually too late. On one lonely stretch of I-70 recently I waved to a Porsche overtaking me and he waved back. Whaddya gonna do when everything else is a truck? On that trip of about 1300 miles I saw maybe one other vette.
Yea the light flash will to that next time I have the roof on with the light tints it's still hard to see in good.First time it's been cool enough to stow my top in the back for the day,so nice to lock in the top.
I always give the wave, unless we are both under an overpass, then they get the wave and clutch in WOT. I can't get enough of the sound of this exhaust under a bridge or in a garage.
Wave is good here in East Tennessee. Most of those I see are owners I know because most of them are in our club and grown to nearly 200 members.
I also do a light flash some times if I see them at the last moment.
Save the Wavy baby
The majority of Corvette owners I've encountered in WA state wave back - those that don't either didn't see me or they are uninitiated and will probably figure out the proper response when enough of us wave at them. If they don't, oh well. I'll still wave at every one I see.
I just purchased a C7 this weekend after being away from the scene for so long, it has been around 5 years since I sold my C6. Everyone I passed by over the weekend waved.
Interesting........I had the feeling that the newer car owners didn't return the wave for some unknown reason. Having an antique Corvette and about to change over to a C-7, I now understand with the window tinting on the newer cars, I might not see the return wave. Keep the wave going!

That's what I've found, with one exception: The C5. For some reason those guys often won't wave back at a C7Z. Other generations, no problem. I'd say 90%.
We're a "quiet and reserved" state, so no horns and honking, but the wave usually works!
Being in a convertible, I wave outside the A-pillar usually to make it obvious, or if I'm top-up, close to the main window so it's more visible through the tint.

I only honk th horn if the other driver isn't looking my way -- and only sometimes.
