Just my 2 cents: it's all about the overall composition of color and grey interior doesn't have enough pop from the silver exterior.
For my eye (and everyone's eye perceives color differently) and tastes, grey works best with cooler, dark colors - Watkins Glen Grey, Admiral/Elkhart Lake Blue, Black. etc. Black works best with the hotter colors - Torch Red, Racing Yellow, Sebring Orange, and of course Black over Black is super sinister. For the other current exterior colors it's black, black, black, with an occasional Red or Kalahari interior.
And even though I have a grey interior, for Blade Silver, I'd choose a Red interior.
My 2015 Night Race Blue Stingray has grey interior. I like the light contrast with the darker NRB exterior. As mentioned in an earlier post, it does show some blue dye transfer from jeans. That being said, it does come off with a little leather conditioner/cleaner.
Still looks great in my opinion.
My 93 is Black Rose Metallic with a light gray interior. When I ordered my Shadow Gray GS, I went with the gray interior and 2 tone seats. The back mat here is black as is the carpet under it
My C6 was silver with gray interior. Gray does show dirt more than black. It also shows stains from blue jeans, fabric, hair dye and other things you wouldn’t think of until owning it. The light gray carpeting also shows dirt / stains more than the darker carpeting. I loved the look when it was new, but went with the black interior on both my 2016 and 2019 silver verts. Same goes for the gray vert top.
Here is the interior in my 93. It is 26 years old with 60K on the odometer. You can protect the interior with mats etc. The seats have normal wear but when treated, they are easy to clean.

I think the above is mostly correct (or possible to happen in the case of dye transfer, hair dye, etc.) except for the C6 mine only came with ebony carpeting, so no problem there. If the carpets were light gray, it'd be far more of an issue to keep up with than the seats. The seats were no problem because I kept up with it, as well as the armrest which I had changed to light gray leather. That doesn't mean I was fanatically cleaning the seats every week. One thing is certain: when the top is down on a sunny day, the gray leather is far less hot than the darker colors.
I thought there were there was a light and darker gray for the C7s, or is the darker gray only used in two-tone--yes?
Note: generally, black leather "sells" easier when it comes time to sell/trade the car.
I do like the gray interior. Owned this "07 C6 for nearly 7 years, and it held up great. Now, it will show dirt more than a dark color, but it's easy to clean. And, you don't have to clean it often either.
Just bought this Grand Sport in December. So, you can say I do like the gray.
I have a 2014 crystal red coupe with gray interior and I like it especially in hot weather !!! I have had 2 Buicks also with light grey interiors !!! I also have had 6 black interior cars not so great in hot weather !!! Wayne
Kind of a Details Guy.The dash with the matched Gray Stitching.Door cards too.
The Color around the Gauges is Perfect.
A Carbon Fiber dash wouldn't look as Good..
Some savings Their $$
My car is coming up on 5 years and the grey seats still look new. Have used only water and a towel to clean them. All car seats have a clear coating on them for protection. If you get the grey interior you get grey carpet and I think this looks like a custom interior. All other interior seat colors get black carpet. I did get the Black Lloyd Floor mats which have the silver corvette flags and matches the grey interior. It is very hard to find grey interiors, I had to order my car to get the grey interior. Very happy with the grey interior. Give it a try!!!!!

Right. Especially with the 1LT the grey interior is a way to get a little nicer look. as on the 1LT the red interior gets you only red seats. Grey gets you seats and carpet that match.. This is a photo grabbed off a dealer web site:
I'm considering a Blade Silver Z06 with a gray interior. I have owned 3 other Corvettes but they always had a Jet Black interior. Will the gray interior look dirty when it gets to be 5 or 6 years old?
I purchased a 2019 Blade Silver with Red interior and Red Calipers. Really is a sharp contrast. It gets many positive reviews also.
My previous Corvette was Blade Silver with Grey Interior. OK, but not a lot of contrast. I really wanted something different than Black and Grey.
They are all nice.
SGM w/ gray interior w/ our car. We like it a lot. We find it no harder to keep clean than other interiors, but ours is not a daily driver. A little care avoiding mud puddles and such before entering goes a long to keeping it looking fresh. We have Lloyd's front mats and a deck mat in gray also w/ logos. Aside from the seat color, the fact that when ordering the gray interior, The carpet color is gray also. Something I miss w/ the other color choices they offer. As I recall, Brownstone had a matching carpet also. We have a 1LT so I ordered a gray console lid and it rather completes the interior w/o spending the 2LT money.
2019 ZR1 for sale on dealer site with gray interior
A previous post showed this 2019 used Silver ZR1 with gray interior that is for sale. The pictures on the dealer site show what the car looks like apparently before it has been cleaned and is a good example of how the gray typically shows dirt under normal use. Complete pics are here: https://www.carfax.com/vehicle/1G1Y53D97K5700031 Gray micro fiber insert car seat, carpeting below steering wheel and floor mat show how the gray shows dirt.
Mine never looks like that... Obviously this person doesn't care where he steps or what kind of work pants he wears.. Jeez, looks like a he sat in it with a leaky "Depnds".

I took out the factory gray mats because for fathers day my kids gave me a set of black with logo lloyds mats along with the trunk mat. Best fathers day gift ever, except when they were little they took me to the hardware store for a pocket knife. It's still in my pocket today after 20 something years.
