bought one of these because i live in ohio where i have gotten tickets before for driving my vette with no front license plate. This bracket is easily removable...bought it on ebay...I have no relationship with this other than bought one. $80 includes shipping.
Down side is the bracket reduces ground clearance by 1/2". this is for Z07 front splitter equipped cars only right now.
here is a link to install instructions and photos.

you can go on ebay and search for item number 181688870889

I bought this car new in November 2013 and still carries the same dealer plate today.. That $30.00 fix it ticket every so often is way cheaper than a red light photo ticket by about $450.00. Just sayin'
Jealous though, I'm still waiting on my new Z06. Still at 1100 with CFV constraint. Supposedly to release next week, uh-huh.

I had something similar on my C6 but it was all plastic and I probably only lost 1/8" of clearance.
The bracket below is about the same price and looks like it may be the same thing.

In that view, it looks like the plate hangs below the front splitter. Does it really? Would get ripped off backing out of driveway.

Yes it does which is why I wouldn't install one. If you click on the link in the first post you can see that it mounts under the splitter and hangs below. I prefer to use the Rho Plate mount that screws in where the tow hook installs and gives a ton of adjustment/placement.

Here's a thread of the prototype installed on a Z06. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...e-bracket.html

The Mercado Ind carbon fiber version is very popular. It removable, light weight and it does block the air flow to the rad. I have one for my ZR1 and believe it is the best option for me.
No drilling, and it does not hang below the front spoiler.

It is available at Corvette Central, a forum sponsor / vendor.
