What an awesome super car we have on this forum! The comparisons get old after a while. If you aren't happy with your C7 ZO6 get something else. I will stick with my Z! Americas true supercar!

Supercar is probably a stretch.
But it's a darned fine sports car.

Everyone who has seen mine comments it's like an exotic Italian Supercar the more they look at it. Vey cool, its built by the great people in Bowling Green, many of whom I met when I built my engine and car. The workers are very proud of the car they've built and work very hard to do a very good job assembling it.

Based on performance and looks - definitely a supercar!

What is the definition of a supercar? Performance? Style? Exclusiveness?

The only cars I have owned that people actually come up to the car and am amazed at the design and engineering and beautiful looks.
These cars are a true representation of what America can produce when we want too! No other car can give you the "bang for the buck" as these cars can.

I really enjoy every moment I spend driving mine. Those who have them r are really missing out.
If they don't drive them.
If they don't drive them.

Safety Car
It's a supercar as far as I'm concerned even though there seems to be a growing number of people on this forum who think otherwise. Makes me wonder why they even bought one in the first place if they weren't going to be happy with it. First world problems I guess.

Yes it's so wonderful to own Americas Supercar! This wonderful beast always thrills me pulling very hard from a stoplight. People are always amazed by the looks and sound of these new ones. Technology is amazing in today's times!! 😀😀

I think it's more about knowing your place and not being disillusioned. The Z06 is a GREAT car for the money, it has SOME supercar metrics but it also shows a lot of signs that it is indeed built by the common man's Chevrolet. That doesn't mean it misses its mark or that there is something "wrong" with it. It does exactly what it sets out to do, it achieves its goals perfectly.
Personally I look for two criteria when I buy a toy car like the Z06:
1) I can afford to break it and fix it as many times as needed.
2) I can tune it, mod it, play with it etc without going broke on mod/mod tax.
If I just wanted "the best car" I could afford and drive around without messing with it then I would be in a McLaren or 911 Turbo or 488 or the like. But for me, it's about the journey, not the destination. I like to monkey with the car and at the end of the day, if I twist the wrong nipple on a McLaren, I'm screwed.
So many journalists and car enthusiasts have deemed regular cars "supercar like" or outright "supercars" that now we need new names for cars like "hypercar," etc. People should lay off the Automotive Taxonomy and just buy what they like within their means and enjoy the hell out of it however they do.

Just because people don't think it's a "supercar" doesn't mean they don't think it's a super car.....definitely doesn't mean they aren't happy with it, lol.

I raced a Lamborghini Aventador, Ferrari Italia, Mclaren 570s and 17 Acura Nsx which are all considered super cars on the exotics racing track in Las Vegas.
All were great cars specially the lambo. These are some of my favorite super cars and after driving these on the track i found out i loved my 2016 Z06 alot more than i thought. My car with 10K in mods pulls much harder and handles better for a fraction of the price.
