just out of curiosity how do you know the eray wont come with a blacked out front grille?
the body colored side spear isnt a deal breaker. Neither are the rear facia grilles but that front grille thankfully can get a black wrap which Im sure would look good.

2020 C6 of the Year Winner - Modified
With Reuss saying that both Chevy sports cars are on the way in 2024, it’s our speculation that the E-Ray would go on sale in 2024 as a 2025 model year Corvette, while the ZR1 would be revealed in 2024 and would go on sale in 2025. That’s how you would get “both cars expected in 2024,” with one being on sale while the other is simply revealed. With a slower-than-anticipated rollout of the red-hot Z06 still underway, we doubt that Chevrolet would cannibalize sales of the Z06 to launch a Corvette that sells for less, as the E-Ray is expected to have a pricepoint between the Stingray and Z06 models.

So a good possibility of an CPC DOHC GS alongĺl with the ERa^3y with the same engine. And the 2024 SR get the detuned version of the same engine.
Maybe 530 hp, 575hp and 615 hp ??? Great news for all prospective buyers at different price point and option if this is the case?

Probably grill difference for the E Ray as the power electronics have a rad on the left front (to keep them cool) and the rear is different as the exhaust tips are not in the center!

If what you posted is riptide, that looks pretty good. Not too far off from rapid though. Would like to see more photos.

The ERAY that was shown on the leak visualizer was all body color, no black any where, thus the picture above is not correct.
Look at post #4 to see the difference .

I’m on a list for the ERay. I don’t care if Chevrolet only sells one AY Corvette in 2024, as long as it’s mine! Side vent spear, rear vent, and grille will need Carbon Flash paint though.

Correct, post 4 is pointless though, that is rapid blue not riptide. It has the 3 choices displayed that we already know I guess. That render is labeled incorrectly, should be Z06 I believe as it has the carbon flash trim like you stated. It's just renders of the colors not renders of Erays.

Awesome wheels, probably my favorite oem option so far. Not much else that we haven’t seen already, even the regen button was in a spy photo. My guess is it cycles through different regen levels, from a low setting that mimics an ICE coasting to regen strong enough to fully stop the vehicle.
Hard to judge the new colors since GM’s visualizer tech is like a decade old. They need to disband their marketing department and build an entirely new one.

Pushing the REGEN button on the side of the console would just be awkward IMO rather then the intuitive location on the steering wheel.

Riptide and Rapid are very different. The former is a good deal darker and a nice metallic.

That REGEN button positioned on the side of the center console really puzzles me. I hope it’s a REGEN “mode” button because if it’s the normal REGEN button it wouldn’t make much sense. The REGEN button on all Chevy EVs is usually located behind the steering wheels on the left side like a paddle so you can pull it whenever you want to regen the brake energy. I’m sure adding that extra paddle might be difficult with the DCT paddles already there but that’s where it normally is.

For the C8, certainly would not be the amount of energy recover possible by using the motors as generators when braking. Don't know if that is a factor but would think you would always have to use the alternator to charge the motor power battery.

Just some thoughts regarding the new E-Ray …
- I think the body color accents will be a unique feature of the E-Ray. Not sure there will be an available “carbon flash” accents option to look like the Z06. If GM did offer it and charged $995 like on the SR, they’d make an absolute killing on it profit-wise since I think so many would opt for it. The body color accents on the SR doesn’t have a big take rate so forcing it on the E-Ray might have the opposite effect if the carbon flash accents were available. Might be a smart move on GM’s part.
- Anyone else think the E-Ray logo looks kind of goofy? Looks like a 3rd grader designed it IMO.
- Will those new E-Ray specific wheels be directional or like the C7 ZR1 wheels. My guess is that GM won’t make four separate wheels (i.e. FR, FL, RR, RL), just a front part# and a rear part#. I’m guessing the new CF wheels on the Z06 only )has two part#’s as well.
- Hoping the Z07 wing will be available on the E-Ray. A screenshot I saw appears to show a different lower profile style rear wing though (see pic)

Riptide blue showed Rapid Blue and a ton of other stuff was messed up.
