I wonder if for the first time in several decades if ever will GM make the A pillar body colored..as depicted in these amazing sketches..

Somehow GM tends to find small ways to cut costs with black plastic covered A pillars for that floating roof look that translates well when the targa roof is removed for open air motoring...

I'd like to know if anyone who has seen the actual vehicle can offer their insight to our fabulous forum sketch artists...

Give a black A pillar design a shot for us to preview...

And again there is no way I am saying anything but thank you to our forum artists because their work has been amazing
The C5 has a greater windshield rake than either the C6 or the C7, and has a lower overall height by some 1.1 inches to 1.3 inches. I guess that makes the C5 more exotic, from a styling standpoint.

The angle limit of the rake is determined by the tint within the glass.

Rendering is awesome but excited to see actual bc camo shows the nose has a “V” pointed center which I love on the LaFerrari.
Also, I’m guessing there could be other nuances like the “Stingray antennae” on the C7 front lip. And even cooler front scoops that are sharper well-defined like the hood lines are.

...happy now!

Some revisions of the "greenhouse", rear fender flair and windscreen line.

BTW...new side view in the works and looks way better. Waiting for pimps comments to finish.

The front of the car doesn't really concern me, i'm sure the Vette team will make it look good. The rear of the car however is what i'm afraid of hating, can't wait to see your render of the back.

I think the grill will be less sunken in and more flush to the front of the fascia. You can see it on some of the spy pics.

Thanks again for all you do, fvs. The more I look at this, the more it reminds me of the simple, clean C5 and the C3, my 2 favorites.

Looks great FVS!! Really nice work... if your renderings are any indication (which I believe they are), the real deal is going to be amazing!!

Thanks for all you're doing... Keep up the great work!

thanks for the kind words all. I am sure it will be much more refined and exotic looking. Can't wait!

I just noticed this detail for the side scoop.

Am I correct in assuming this detail means there is a vertical splitter inside the scoop. Would make sense.

Good find FVS! While at SEMA last November, I noticed that some other top ME’s have a splitter inside their rear fender intake duct.

Some of that split air could go for direct compartment engine cooling, some for heat exchangers, and/or some for “brake bleed’ (Ferrari’s term for one component of its 488 GTB’s advanced aero system).

FVS I have no idea how many hours you must have tied up in all these different renders. But I would guess it has to be hundreds of hours.

Wish Corvette forum had a thumbs up button in the tread section so I could and other could let you know how much we appreciate the countless hours you have spent.

I look everyday to see what is new you may have rendered.

From myself and I am sure many other forum members GREAT JOB & THANK YOU !!!

Only problem, if the c8 looks anything like your render...i'll be one of the 1st or 2nd year buyers paying inflated prices and possibly dealing with first year car woes Seriously your render LOOKS that good

WOW — awesome skills and quick turnaround. Fits the spy shots so far as we’ve seen uncovered bits. Kinda hoping the A-pillar is body-colored — but this render is seriously nice looking regardless...

while waiting for c7pimp's direction on the side and other views...

...just a tease of the new side view I worked up. Could be all wrong...but it's fun!
