Match is a strong word, lol. I would say the Tension blue complements the ELB, especially when the light shines on the paint showing lots of shades of blue, from dark all the way to the tension blue color. I really like the Twilight blue (dark navy) inside too. Especially on the A pillars and headliner. I think it looks much nicer than black. Overall I am very happy with the color choice, there wasn’t really anything that we liked better. It’s a little “flashy” but like I have said, it’s OK to have a flashy interior on a flashy car.

So the alcantara (synthetic suede) is a dark blue? It looks gray on my monitor. What color is the carpet? I remember you from a few months ago when you were tossing this color combo around. You sound very pleased with it. Wish there was someone near L.A. who could show me this color combo in person.
I just went with what a few other people who ordered it had said. They all seemed happy with their decision. Of course, once you have it in your garage, you HAVE to be happy with it.
If you can find anywhere to actually see it, that’s obviously best. The pictures, including mine, don’t really show how bright the Tension blue really is. It’s definitely not for everyone.

of course it’s ok to have a flashy or bold interior/ color combination!!!
why do we have these things... they are basically useless baubles... might as well be noticed!!!
i love the blue/ tension blue. Good for you!!

I'm personally not a fan of black wheels, because when they are all black, the they just blend in with the tire, and look like black "blobs" to me. I believe they may have chosen to add the machined edge to provide a visual "break" to the black, and give the wheel area some definition and avoid that look. While I am not in love with the styling of the wheel itself (in any color), that little bit of definition definitely improves how it "looks" to my (admittedly old) eyes.

I think they will bring this to C9.

This ELB really looks like so many different colors. Some of them real lovely. I think the only bad one is when it is in the dark. We could not even tell it was a blue C8 in the basement.
We were called to configure 2020 and couple months later 2021 models. We skipped and moved deposit to Z06. Perhaps some things will look better with wide body models.
