Black or Sky Cool Grey GT1 seats in LT1 Black HTC?
For Black C8 owners with GT1 seats, does anyone wish they had gone with either Sky Cool Grey or with Black vs. what they ordered?
I saw the black GT1 seats today and thought they looked great. Much better than I expected as the Mulan black was flat and did not look shiny, and because I could see different color stitching in them. If I bought a Red or CMG C8 then black would be an easy choice, but I am not sure if I want to go all black interior on a black car so I am looking for feedback because I need to order this week, and there are not Sky Cool Grey interiors that I can find in my area. I have seen a few pictures where it looks dirty, etc. and just wanted to get some opinions/feedback.
I usually get black interiors but this time I went with two tone red (red for GT1) I like the color and have not been disappointed. Can’t comment on the sky cool gray though.
I did the red seats I just liked the red look on the black C8 . I have not seen a C8 in person with the Sky Cool Grey but it is a C8 and I am sure that will look good as well. I tend to like the darker seats because I would worry about getting those light seats dirty.
Good Luck either way it is always a hard choice.
If you get the Sky Cool, I would get two tone. The centers of Sky Cool tend to look dirty. It is the cooling holes that cause this look, and you won't notice it with black centers. I prefer the two tone red though.

No way I'd go with Sky Cool Grey/white seats in any car I own. Just not my taste. Black or red. I was never an all black/murdered out look guy. I chose red because I love the contrast and it matches the calipers. The red Stinger stripes also break up all the black.
Finally got my C8. She is a 2023 HTC 3LT Z51 in black that I had fully PPFd in Stealth. I also added a new front lip and Z06 style rockers as well as switching out the seat belts for yellow and a custom yellow powder coat on the calipers to match (just to add a bit of colour to all the black). I think it turned out great and I am loving driving it. I have not had a Vette since the C5 and boy have they come a long, long way!
I’m in full agreement with your tastes and dilemma. To my plebeian eyes, carbon flash looks like black bodywork that has been driven on a dusty road after a dewey morning. Im currently inclined to buy overseas sourced aero bits for my black ERay and rattle can paint them myself if necessary.
