Not sure if this has been posted yet. I did a quick search and didn't see it.
I took my sons to Carlisle today to check out the C8 in person.
Honestly, in real life it looks stunning and the HTC is amazing.
I am SO excited for the widebody reveal for the upcoming Z06 (and I assume the Grand Sport)
I'm a bit color deficient vision wise, so this yellow looks more green to me, but it's still an astonishing car!
They also had a Blade Silver Coupe with a Blue interior that I liked - anyway - enjoy!
I honestly didn't ask, because I was corralling the boys and reminding them not to touch the cars.
The rep did allow me to hold my youngest up and see in and touch the interior/steering wheel a bit though - and he was over the moon about that.
All 3 boys really had a great time! (Ages 9, 5, and 3).
I think the HTC's nacelles and rear deck treatment look fantastic!
Just have to be patient for the widebody, because the StingRay looks astonishing for the money.
Have a great night!
Thank you for sharing. We're people allowed to sit in the C8s?
No. It was sold already. Even kerbeck's cars were all locked up.
kid said msrp was 94 iirc. Very nice spec.
Love the suede interior on the 3LT. Yellow Contrasting stitch looked great as well. And the stitch was straight across pass side dash. They still can't get the wall and the dash stitch to meet correctly. It's annoying because it pops in contrast and your eye catches it as look inside from pass side. Fit and finish was good.
Pass side fascia was sticking up a bit on pass side. It was only one I noticed out of all of them there today but might just have been because I bent down and sun hit it at the right angle.
I did notice a white one with hedlighheadlight digging into the fender bubbling paint. It appears the headlight from side to side on each car are a little different. Some recessed some proud some slight angle (that looked like the cause for the digging into paint to me)
noticed another anomoly with all the fascias. Every one I saw today. Some type of mold or tab? Guide pin something underneath is fisheyeing the paint every 6 inches or so in a straight line a couple inches up from the tip. Lower than the plane of the emblem. All the way from end to end. Like a reverse "ding".
I was admiring an LBR htc in kerbeck tent and sun hit that LBR fasica and it was so vibrant i walked up to it and the reflection was sharp (still OP but that color always showed it the worst imo). Then I saw a dimple. I thought ooph. With my luck that would be my car. Then I saw 2 more same plane each 6" or so closer to emblem and I thought oh no someone lined the fascia up wrong and popped it in now it dimpled it and caused the fisheye.
But that's not it. I am going to get my video sorted out and send to quality control Mgr on corvette team. If it is just made that way? Oh well I guess. But if there's something causing that fascia to not seat flat and those tabs are pushing the cover up causing it? Maybe they're too long?
Looks to be the first car I’ve seen with just the CF nacelles. Looks good top down of course, interested to see how it looks top up. The stripes might help with that.
I can see it pretty clear on my phone so I'm sure on the tv it will be even easier.
This is something that once I saw it i can't unsee.
See the distortion in reflection of that straight pole?
Every single fascia has it. If someone finds a pic of the backside you'll be able to see wth is causing that. All the way across at a uniform distance apart. Reverse "ding" .
How these designers do not see this stuff is beyond me? They spend hundreds of million on paint plant and the front of the car saintly reflection has fisheyes uniform ones at that and nobody thought to ask wth?

I went to Carlisle last year and they had like 6 c8’s on display. I sat in two of them, there were lines of people waiting to sit in them. Much nicer interior than I was expecting, really nice imo.
