C8 (Ugly Duckling) for sale.
A Chevy Dealer near me had a customer back out of a purchase after the car was delivered. I went to take a look mainly because I'm considering NRB when I order mine. The color combo on this car is awful!! I saw on the sticker that they paid the $590.00 Bad Taste TAX or as GM politely calls it Color Combination Override. The MSRP is $86,000. I asked if they are hoping to get sticker for this abomination. They said no.....they have it priced at $106,000

Yikes, that hurts my eyes too, but I suspect someone will love it.

I used to work very closely with Canadian Military guys during my NORAD days. AS my friends to the north used to say "Go Ugly Early".This qualifies if someone wants to get into a 2020 now rather than wait for a 2021.

I suspect the reason he backed out is that he realized his vision was distorted when he saw the reality.

There's a lot going on there. A silver or flat black wrap night help them sell it.
Strange combo though, like a rich guy let his 6 year old choose without signing off. Yellow accents with burgundy interior is just plain weird. The yellow works with the blue just fine, but the burgundy doesn't work.

I'm surprised GM allows the color override option. Most don't. To protect customers from themselves, they should either charge a lot more or eliminate it entirely.
I can almost hear the Barrett-Jackson commentators now as that car rolls up on stage.

You laugh, but there would be a bidding war if this car was being sold in South America.
Thats actually popular color combo in Colombia.

If the dealer originally sold this at MSRP, he's laughing his A** OFF... somebody's going to pay over sticker for this.... as my old boss the late, great Charlie Achenbach always said about the car business "there's an *** for every seat"...

Better yet, either eliminate it, or require payment in full before accepting the order. I'd be shocked if he got his deposit back, but I also think the dealer will be OK because someone out there will take it.
