I haven't sat in one at night time but I don't think they offer that on the C8? If not, then I'm hoping they add it as an option for 2023! Proper lighting really ups the ambiance IMO. I mean, even a Jetta offers them.

No ambient lighting and highly doubt you will see it during the C8 generation run.

My 2010 Camaro had ambient lighting integrated into the transparent plastic door cards. I thought it was so cool at the time, and the current Camaro has 24 different colors that will even change with drive mode. Some of the newer cars are doing amazing ambient lighting that is never distracting. Mercedes has been using led strips in the doors, dash, and footwells for a few years now, and even offers the choice of light color on the fly.
It's surprising that the c8 doesn't have anything fun especially considering how good the interior design is.

GM really didn't put any extra thought into party tricks. Don't get me wrong. They built a ground breaking vehicle that undercuts the competition... BUT that doesn't satisfy the OPs argument. The fact is that the Easter eggs are limited to a bust of Cesar etched into the windshield (wait, what? that's Zora? Oh I see it now), and a badge of the fish that killed Steve Irwin.
The startup video on the dash screen is very cool, but that's all the flash there is.
Some ambient lighting would have been nice.

Totally agree they should have added ambient lighting. Have it on my other cars, pretty much leave it on the same color all the time, but it cost next to nothing and adds a level of customization.
It’s also odd the C8 doesn’t have puddle lights in this day and age.

The correct CF response is “BAH! Who needs that crap? The exhaust note under full throttle is all the entertainment I’ll ever need!” Which of course make no sense but there it is.

Exactly! It's a very cheap add on. Much, much lesser cars are offering them now! And that was my next question....where are the "puddle lights'? That's another relatively cheap add on that add to the overall experience.

The Range Rovers I've owned had better quality and reliability than most of the German cars I've had. That said, most of them had issues! I guess that's what warranties are for. But that's a topic for another day.......

You can wipe your *** with their warranty, because the dealer service dept is always so backlogged that they tell you, "we could not replicate the problem" and tell you great news your car is ready for pickup. But the car was towed in because it stalled at a stop sign... Yes it's ready for pickup.
Tata (get it?), JLR North America. Ive given you enough opportunities.
With that said

That is pretty cool
Wouldn't this be so good projected on the floor when you open the door?

My Mustang’s interior lights were “ice blue” by default. The ambient lights let me change the gauges and interior lights to that old school orange backlighting which I liked better.

It's supposed to be a sports car. Leave all the gimmicks to cars that need them.

I don't need any extra lights distracting me or interfering with my vision when driving at night, thank you. If it had ambient lighting, I'd turn it off. The C8 is for driving, not showboating.
