Deep Space Metallic
Saw this in an article about the CTS-V. Its called Deep Space Metallic. Looks like a bridge between Night Race Blue and Shadow Grey. This could be the thing that tempts me back despite my hatred of the new google crap. If youre in the market for a C8, would you take this color over the current options? I KNOW I would!
Not a lot of pics of it yet obviously, but if the below pic is ANY indication, it's nearly a resurrection of SGM, perhaps a shade lighter with a touch more blue, and I'm on board.

Love this color, but I love interesting colors.
Personal favorite is Celestial Metallic, offered on the Lyriq. I believe the same color is also available on the Blazer EV but they call it Galaxy Grey. Its a silvery purple shade, looks amazing.

No clue what you mean. They went lighter from ELB to the new blue. The only dark colors we have are black, carbon flash, and maybe you could argue sea wolf and red mist. But given rapid blue is not going anywhere and we have at least two light greys (blade and ceramic, and I personally think seawolf is closer to the light end than dark end of the spectrum).
Light colors: yellow, white, orange, rapid blue, blade silver, ceramic matrix, cacti, torch red
Dark colors: black, carbon flash
Matter of opinion as to light or dark: red mist, seawolf, riptide blue
We are far more heavily weighted to lighter colors currently. They really should just replace either seawolf or hypersonic, or perhaps carbon flash, with this Deep Space color. Even if you place all 3 of the opinion ones in the dark end, thats 8 light and 5 dark hues currently. We REALLY dont need both blade silver and ceramic matrix to be honest, nor do we need two versions of black. Plenty of room for Deep Space somewhere in the lineup by nixing one of the unnecessary redundancies.
So far the poll seems to show that while a little over half of folks like at least one current color more than deep space, NEARLY half of folks think Deep Space beats ALL the current offerings. If they were in the market for a new C8 that is. Sampling bias and all that I'm sure as a lot of thread clickers probably come from the SGM camp, myself included. But still, that shows some pretty solid interest in this color. A heckuva lot more than Cacti or that silly Caffeine color from 2023.

Totally would have chosen that over my red mist 2024. All of my cars have been blue but I didn't like the current offerings.

Nice color. I try to go for whatever is available and in stock.

Even if your assertion were true (it's not), who wants to own one of these cars after the powertrain warranty is up anyway?

IMO, there are already too many grays/silvers/blacks in the C8 color palette.

That is a nice looking color on the Caddy. It would be a color I would seriously consider.

I've no idea what it may really look like from the pix... so no vote here.

Having a great color for a 10-year car without a vinyl wrap being needed would be nice.
I'd take a Mystic Blue SLK 55 over a black SLK55 with a mystic blue wrap every day and twice on sunday. I dont want to need to change the color of a car. I'd prefer if GM stopped offering **** options like cacti, caffeine, and 3 different shades of LIGHT grey (sea wolf being the darkest of the 3 but still light in person IMO, and basically cement color which is boring).
SGM was a fantastic hue in person but GM sent red and blue cars for all the press, and online configurator was a ridiculously poor demonstration of its depth on the C8. This color would carry on that depth if given the light of day with people seeing it IRL.

I agree there are too many greys/silvers. One light and one dark is enough. Keep blade, add this, get rid of ceramic, sea wolf, and hypersonic and call it a day. At least this color has some depth and shades of other hues. Hypersonic kinda has a hint of green but barely. Blade silver is straight up characterless, boring grey, and sea wolf is just wet cement look on a car. They're all 3 yawn inducing.
I'd almost argue ceramic is more of a bluish white than grey. it's too pale for my taste but it feels like it has more depth than blade and sea wolf. Kinda on par with hypersonic as far as color depth just in a different way. Hypersonic is the best of the current greys, but this color beats it hands down if these pics are accurate.
All just my opinion of course. If a truly deep dark sapphire blue were offered I wouldnt even consider any shade of grey. Admiral blue was the closest Chevy has come to getting blue right.
And some kooks love cacti.

I like it or just bring back Night Race Blue! The original Laguna Blue from 1966 was also a great color, like NRB and SG it would change colors depending on the light. It's time for a dark blue again, Riptide is okay but too close to the previous ELB and both are medium to light blues IMO.

I wish they'd bring back cyber grey.
Great color with just a hint of blue metal flake in it.
