6' & 170ish - I'm a little ways behind most of you guys in years, but more than a few motorcycle crashes and sports injuries more than make up for it, haha.
After a little more than a year with the car, here's what I've found to be best for me: I swing my legs out put my left hand on the inner frame rail / door sill and push myself up as I rotate out.

I open the door all the way, I lift my butt off the seat and swing my legs out of the car, then with both feet on the floor, I lift myself out while dodging the top edge of the roof panel..By swinging both legs out, I never have to worry about kicking the door panel or the area left of the foot well.

Getting in and out is a bit of a challenge. I've found getting out, you need both hands free. Trying to get out with anything in your hands is tough. Getting in, I've gotten the hang of fairly well after reading a thread here about doing it butt first, then swing both your legs in. I basically do the opposite getting out. What bothers me somewhat, is that I need to put the seat pretty much all the way back to get in and out. Worried about the seat motor lasting. I go do some errands, and may make 3 or 4 stops.

My C8 is harder to get in and out of then my formula race car, that you are close to laying down in.

This post is hilarious - to me. There's nothing worse than pulling up somewhere and everyone turns around to marvel at this gorgeous car... you open the door trying to be a cool dude in a loose mood, and while all eyes are watching, you practically fall out, lose your balance and hop around so you dont fall.
Been there, done that. More often than I want to admit. It's easy to "fall in", but getting out a small crane would help a lot.

For entry and exit. Seat all the way back. Steering column all the way forward. Getting in is not bad. Getting out is a bit of a chore. Swing both legs out if you can open door far enough. Lean forward toward door opening and get weight over door sill. Stand up. Use left hand on door sill to push yourself up if necessary.
Tight spaces where you can’t get door more than half way open can be a contortionist demonstration that isn’t pretty.

I am only 55 and can get out with relative ease due to reasonable legwork at the gym. There WAS that one time when i lost my balance on our steep driveway and impaled my thigh on the pointy bit of the "gill" (as my Wife calls it). That bruise took a while to heal. My wife is a couple years older and a head shorter than my 6'-0", so she has a hard time getting out. We had a "booster seat" for her (a 3" thick pad) to get out of the competition sport bucket seat, but that ended up scuffing the bolsters and kidney-touching seat parts :-(. No more booster seat for Wifey!

Well - if Chevrolet wanted to cater to an older demographic I guess they have succeeded with the Corvette lol. At 63 I almost feel too young to drive one. I know I didn't add one relevant thought to this but that's what crossed my mind reading this post.

I'm not as old as some in this thread, but I'm 6'5", so I have my own challenges. I cheat to get out of my C8. I know where to put my hands to get extra support. For example, when I first turn my car off and open the door, I use my right hand to help me swivel to the left. After that, I reach and grab the door with the same right hand. Left and right legs out and then straight up finding a good place to use my left hand along the way. Basically, I always use my hands for extra support.

I'm 70 and although it can be awkward for me to get in and out, it's awkward for ANYBODY regardless of age. These cars are so low that graceful in and out is almost impossible.
Reminds me of a video I saw of an older guy getting out of a Lambo. He literally did a slow motion fall out of the car and then rolled over and up.

I traded my 2019 C7 for a 2021 C8 yesterday and have a question about getting out of the car. Even though I’m 76, I didn’t have an issue with getting in and out of the C7. I’ve had several Corvettes over the years (C3, C4, 2-C5’s and the C7j and I’ve learned how to enter end exit without scrubbing the bolster. The problem with the C8 is that the door sill is so wide you can’t get your feet under you to get your balance.
Any technical advice is appreciated besides rolling out on the ground and getting up from there. 😅
