Anybody know how to get egg off of paint?
I took the wife out for lunch today. I parked in the street along the curb across the street from the restaurant. When we came out i discovered someone threw 2 eggs at my car. Hitting the driverside window and door. It was also the sunny side of the car. It was baked on. We immediately drove home and I hit it with a pressure washer with a 25 degree tip to get the bulk of it off. I then foamed the car and hand washed it with a micro fiber mitt. After 4 tries there is still a film that won't budge on the paint and the boomerang . I just passed 500 miles yesterday. Anybody know what might get the rest of it off?

I'd personally try some Meguiar's ScratchX

Protein dissolver, that's effectively what egg white is. Same enzyme in bug removers.

Another vote for Scratch X, or a clear-coat safe mild abrasive polish:

From the situation as described, you can try the recommendations but egg baked on/in has long been notorious for ruining paint. I wish you luck, but I hope you have a good paint-shop available as an alternative.

The google search says....
Start with plenty of water and car wash soap — do not use dish detergent — and wash off as much as possible. If there is still some on the car, soak a towel in soapy water (some people add vinegar) and let it sit of the egg to soften it.
You could try this...

Probably some jealous SOB that hates their life, I would try Griots Garage polishing/correcting cream with an orbital buffer

NJ's finest at work. This had to be kids. I had a similar situation many, many moons ago with a kid who poured soda on my Z28. I would think that the clearcoat on the C8 is very hard and durable therefore I'd try a good wash with a soft mit and then a hand rub with a microfiber towel and either the Meguier's stuff or another good polish like Wolfgang products, Adams, Duragloss or 3M hand glaze (my go-to for more serious stuff like this). If worse comes to worse an orbital with the polish/cleaner should take out a light stain. Really sorry this happened to you. Good luck and let us know how you do.

Hitting the driverside window and door. It was also the sunny side of the car. It was baked on. We immediately drove home and I hit it with a pressure washer with a 25 degree tip to get the bulk of it off. I then foamed the car and hand washed it with a micro fiber mitt. As others have said. Its really best to have a ceramic coating on the car if you dont have any. I would recommend Dquartz as a base and then 1 to 2 coats of cquartz on top. Dont cringe as you dont have to go to a professional shop and pay thousands, you can buy the consumer products which are almost as good and apply yourself. As I dont think the quartz coating would be an all in one super save. It would however give you more layers of defense and more time to address such issues. Dquartz/Cquartz combo is really durable and it would take the acid some time to get through. So you could simple buff off the layers and save the clear coat if anything should stain or weaking the quartz.

Well I spent a good portion of the morning working on the stains. I tried vinegar, 91% alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, an adheasive and bug remover and lastly scratch x. Nothing worked!
In spite of that, I do appreciate all the suggestions from all of you!

Ugghhh... Sorry to hear that. What your are seeing is probably the clear coat has been eaten up by the acid and etched in. Hard to tell without pictures. Hopefully it has not done the paint as well. You will need a body shop. Be sure to coat your car post completing.

I have been through this a few times due to bird droppings that etch the top surface of the clear coat. In this case I have had to use Meguiar's Ultimate compound and then the Meguiars polish, both with a proper orbital polisher. When it etches into the clear coat I find a polish is not aggressive enough and you need to use a clear coat safe compound with a correcting pad.
I had a mechanic a few years ago put some surface scratches into the clear coat on my Z51, and I took it to a professional high end body shop and they used 1800 grit sandpaper followed by compound and polish and it turned out perfect - so if it is not all the way through the clear coat a professional body shop may be able to sand the clear coat and save the finish.
