C8 not seen before specs (not me anyway)
Unbelievable C8 info, rushed pictures of a page in a booklet from a detroit GM engineer I spoke to at Corvettes at Carlisle, sorry for the the quality, I was very rushed and couldnt even touch the booklet.

I am going to be really interested to see some lap times. The new c8 is quicker than the ZL1-1LE in the 1/4mile by 0.1sec but a slower trap by 6mph, with the c8 having 155HP LESS
0-60 ZL1-1LE is 3.5, C8 is 3 and Z51 is 2.9 (rounding again?)
Lat g's are extremely close 1.02 to1, could be a rounding thing
60-0 braking was close ZL1-1LE at 107 and the C8 at 108.4 with much smaller brakes.
getting more and more excited with the car as information is revealed.

I have never put any real concern or thought on trap mph because et wins, not trap.

omg.. if there is only a .1 sec difference in 0-60 and 1/4 time is the same.....
Z51 option is sooooo f@cking gone with its non- performance exhaust. Then its back to just save the money or kick it all into the 2lt .... damn it.. damn it...

absolutely killer for a base model Corvette! the Z models are going to be world beating, great job GM!

Again as usual in term of acceleration, the car will only do great in 0-60! after that things will get worse and maybe you will be walked by 350 hp cars! really stupid gear ratios DISAPPOINTED

I would assume the base car numbers are with the standard exhaust ?

Impressive!

A C7 Z06 has a 1/4 mile of 10.95s at 127mph
A C7 Z51 has a 1/4 mile of 12.0s at 117mph
How is 11.3s at 121mph not a really impressive result for the base Corvette? There aren't a lot of cars in that snack bracket... virtually none in a similar price range.
Oh, and the C8 isn't a drag strip car anyway!!! It will do very well on a track (road course) vs. those 350hp cars

Nice find!
Very nice specs, nobody can really complain about 0-60 in 2.9 and a 1/4 a 11.3@121 with a top of 193 out of 500hp.
Sure, 10.9@130 and 200mph for numbers would look great, but that is where the new Z will come in, probably much better.
For fun I researched GMs published specs on the C7 Z06 with A8 and it was 0-60 2.95 1/4 at 10.95@127 with Z07 package.
I don't have time, but the 2019 ZR1 specs I found are 212 mph top speed and 0-60 in 2.85.
