Well, I finally completed my exhaust upgrade. Shout out to Kracka for helpful information. Looking back, the hardest part was getting the plug wires back on and fully seated. Rest of it was just time. Need a decent assortment of tools, which I fortunately have from racing in the past. Sounds pretty good now.
Corsa headers and high flow cats. All cerakoted.
aFe air intake set up
Corsa cat back
Looks great! Glad to have helped...you handled the hard part
I love how the Corsa exhaust sounds. Smart move on those industrial garage fans too...I could really use a few of those vs. my smaller Ryobi.
Looks great but I can't reconcile $8K on exhaust side components for maybe 15-20hp when you can spend $13-15K for heads/cam/tuning and get 85+hp. It just seems like bad value for money to me.

So you did the heads and cam on your car? You don't have a car posted in your profile. Maybe I didn't want to go into the engine. Maybe I like doing things myself.
The picture of corsa headers looks very necked down at the collector flange can you put a digital caliper on it? and get the OD dimension? Looking forward to your dyno results.
I'll try. Yes, it does close down quite a bit right at the flange. Looking at it when everything was in pieces I think that's to get it down to the size the cats will take. There's not a lot of distance to ease it down once all the runners are connected.

Apologies for clearly having offended you. I said it looked good and then just made a perfectly valid point about value for money and possible different NA upgrade paths in hopes of, you know, driving a discussion. I guess you want three pages of "Looks great, post up dyno results". There is something peculiar about the Corvette demographic in that, as a whole, they seem very sensitive to anything that does not hew strictly to their view. I mean, I questioned the value proposition of $8,000+ dollars on intake and exhaust mods that probably net 25 horsepower tops, you came off like I insulted your wife. Sheesh...
I wouldn't expect warranty to cover the actual aftermarket components in either case but I don't see a dealer giving you any more guff about head and cams than all that stuff. They can't even see the head and cam work for starters. The setup here kind of shouts 'aftermarket' assign as you pop the lid. As an example, you develop the dreaded DCT issues and I give even odds to both setups getting pushback or not.
Headers, etc., are external. Cam, heads and tune impact internals. The computer will see that a tune has been done.
I spoke with several people I know at GM. They all said they could look the other way about headers but once you crack open the engine or go into the computer there is no warranty.
I’ll ask again, did you do the cam, heads and tune to your C8?
I've had my C8 6 months and have been deployed half that time. So, no, I did not do heads, cam or tune to my C8. Why are you so fixated on that? You're weird.
I'm sure you spoke to 'several people you know at GM' and they told you that. Ok, bro. The key to successful warranty claims while modified is having a good relationship with your dealer. I'm good.
