By strict definition, no. As Punky referenced, has any living breathing adult ever sat in the “backseat” of a 911? Do most variations of the 911 surpass some sports cars in performance? Absolutely.
What does Mirriam think? Mirriam Defines “Sports Car” A 911 turbo s is a supercar. A GT3RS is a supercar. A GT2RS is definitely a supercar. A C7Z is a sports car. A C7 ZR1 is a sports car. |

My question is whether C8 is best car currently being manufactured in the USA. |
Don't ya just love such threads?

My opinion is......The C8 with the Z51 package, appx. $66,000 is the best 2 seat sports car you can buy. Best bang for the buck.
Yesterday I saw my 1st C8. It was at the dealership waiting for the customer to pick it up. White with red calipers and red interior. This guy got all the goodies; 3LT, Z51, composite exterior & interior, and more. Stickered at $99,000. Sure was purdy though. Question. Can you order/get a C8 with the Z51 package and Navigatoin? Do you have to order the 2LT or 3LT to get Navigation? |

Define "better". I'd say the ZL1/1LE is a better performance car.
And it posts slower public track times. It may be good "bang for the buck" but it is not numerically better, prob because it's a fat pig of a car. Now I know Snowwolfe is coming after me soon... |

i hate to say this... but i would say the Teslas are more awe inspiring if you're into the tech/future. i am seriously contemplating a Model Y when my wife's lease is up end of the year. never thought i would say it..
but the Corvette is absolutely the best ICE produced today in terms of excitement, exclusivity, performance at an affordable price. |

Really punky? Not ONE single problem in 10 cars? C'mon Maybe you mean problems that "bothered" you.

An article came on my feed on FB. So i clicked it. 2 tesla's were on the terrible reliability list lol. I think the Y and the X? No idea but i know they're shitty. Damn fast because it's electric. But my buddy has one. Sold his BMW I8 for one. And he hates it. Road noise galore, tire noise galore and every creak and rattle is heard from the interior since day 1 lol. Hey but at least it's fast!!!! haha |
Best car produced in Kentucky for sure!

Best car is too broad, but best sports car on the market worldwide then the C8 has no equal.

LMAO at the guys complaining about Tesla road noise that drive a Corvette. I just bought a used nearly 50k mile Model S and it is quieter than any of the 9 Vettes I have owned, four of which were purchased new and all had significantly less miles than the Tesla. Quality issues with the previous generation (A8 trans/torque converter, AC vent rattles, noisy targa) are just a few reasons I went 'to the dark side', and to be honest, I couldn't be happier. Maybe I'll get a C8 at some point but I know my wife's next car will be a Model 3. I'm sure I'll get some hate for posting this (maybe not, I said nothing bad about the C8 and most C8 fanboys show no love for the previous gens anyway LOL) but I figure real world experience is better than 'I heard it from a buddy', 'I read it online' or 'saw it on youtube'....
PS. holy crap this thing is fast  |
