I'm happy that my car will finally be built, I'm afraid that the "I'll wait for discounts next year" crowd will be in for a rude awakening, as GM will surely pass the higher labor costs along, bumping up the price of the '21 models.

Yawwwwwwn....
That was NO strike. That was a cooked deal between management AND labor mgnt. All the workers had a nice vacation. That's all it was.

I believe a steep increase for 2021 model was in the cards anyway. Now, GM has a someone to blame it on. Either way, I think you're right, there will be an increase and it will be enough to get buyer's attention. I think anyone who orders now at 2020 prices, will probably not feel the full effect of the price increase. But, yeah it's gonna happen.

The biggest hurdle a couple months ago seemed to simply be the passage of time and which darn exterior color to choose! Now, we move to the next challenges and key pieces of information. How exactly will this affect the production schedule, and how/will GM make up for the lost time? Over the next few weeks I think we will understand the answers much better. Meanwhile, I am given more time to focus on which of the three colors I have it narrowed down to will be my final choice!

I'm part of the "I got -20% OFF MSRP crowd," that didn't pay retail for my new C7!

Gotta pay to play and life is short 5k is not much in the big scope of things. Again it not like anyone has to have a Vette for transportation.
So I gladly paid MSRP and was able to walk out to my garage on a nice weekend and decide which toy I felt like driving that day.
To each their own if saving a few bucks is while waiting for the discount made you feel good then more power to you.

Hopefully it was fair for both sides. I hope the workers suffered no issues financially at home and are happy to be coming back.

With the 2021s coming out next summer. Thousands of orders won’t be built. We’re already behind several months. Still got the c7s to build. Double down and get a early 2021 allocation if your at the end of a long list.

It's great news for those of us that have ordered cars. I have heard that they may be returning to work as early as Saturday. Let's get them built and built well.

Is there anything preventing GM from raising prices immediately on the 2020 models? Are the prices locked for those with accepted deposits?
