Default Front Splitter Rivets

I've read a number of posts asking which rivet to use for front splitters. This is what I used for our Stage 1 splitter. It's all aluminum, 2" x 1/8"; here's a link to NAPA's info:

Those will work, but the split rivet like the OP references and like GM uses will hold better since the load is much more distributed. Can also buy the split rivets off of Amazon, with the GM part number, for <$20 for a box of 25.

Thanks 96GS! I checked out split rivets and learned about their superior gripping and holding strength, especially in softer materials. Gonna get me some. Thank goodness I haven’t installed my splitter and side skirts yet.

I admit, I am a newb when it comes to rivets, but I got an acs z06 front splitter and I don’t see anywhere what size the rivets are? I have a rivet tool with a few different size adapters but the supplied rivets seem to be too big for all the adapters… and I looked at the amazon listing of the GM rivets and I don’t see a size mentioned either, what am I missing, please help 🤣!

Thank you 96GS, I was about to replace my stage 1 splitter ($66 for Stage 1 on EBAY!) and didn't know about the rivets. Much appreciated info here.

Ravis22, If you can't place the rivet shaft into the largest adapter, you might have to either get a bigger gun, or maybe larger adapter. I installed ACS side skirts, and used the supplied ACS rivets.. but I had to go to Harbor Freight and buy a bigger gun. Glad I did.... the new gun has longer handles, providing more leverage. The new gun was quite inexpensive at Harbor Freight, and worked just fine.
