No, no need to change the hoses at 5 years. The hoses on my last C5 (a 2003) were still original when I traded the car for my C7 in 2018 and showed no signs of problems.

Belt is supposed to be good for 100k as well. I haven't blown or hose or belt in years on any of my cars. I have an old school friend who won't buy a C8 because he can't easily inspect belts and hoses before every trip. Today's cars, even cheap ones don't need inspection before every trip. When I first started driving, you checked everything over. Cars are far more reliable today than years ago.

Thats an old school thought process. How many of us had a radiator hose go bad back in the day, probably every one of us. Conversely How many people have seen a radiator hose fail in modern times now. It's not something you hear about anymore, but I could be wrong.

And are you going to change the hoses from the Rads in front of the C8 to engine? All of them, even the ones connected to metal pipes that are in the tunnel???

I traded my 2016 Z06 last fall. It was 8 years old, with all original hoses.
