Does anyone know of a Honeywell automotive component manufacturing plant in the Athens GA area? My wife is being courted by a recruiter for them and we really do have interest in the area.
I have relatives in Atlanta and I understand you have milder winters than we do in Minnesota
I might get to drive the car year round!

How about South Carolina? There's an Autolite spark plug plant in Duncan, SC which is Honeywell and another type of Honeywell mfg. in Greer, SC. This would only be about 200 miles or about 3 hours from Atlanta.
Good weather!
Good Vette club!
Good old southern hospitality!!!

We do turbine engine repair and overhaul in Greer. It's only about 2-1/2 to 3 hours to Atlanta from here. Driving year-round is certainly not a problem. The summers aren't too bad (not like Florida) and only about 1 light snow per winter. Athens is a big college town (UGA if memory serves)
I don't recall any Honeywell plants in Athens, though. Do you know what kind of business it would be?

It took this long to get more info. Honeywell plant making Bendex brake components. Elberton GA. Looks like it's in the middle of nowhere on the maps. Interviewing starts this Saturday.
