Rolling Canvas

Corvette owners, both new and old, have a plethora of wheel options available to them. That includes quite a few from Vossen, which is always keen to show off its handiwork with both high-quality pics and video. Its latest example is a fine rolling canvas - this widebody C7 Corvette built by RodSpeed out of Miami, Florida, that's far more than just a stock car with a set of wheels.

Aggressive Design

The wheels on display here are Vossen's gloss black HF-5 Hybrid Forged pieces, which are derived from the fully forged S21-01. The wheels feature pocketed pokes and a Y-pattern for a wicked look that fits the aggressive styling of the C7 perfectly.

Variety of Sizes

The beauty of the HF-5, like all of Vossen's offerings, is that they come in a wide variety of sizes and bolt patterns, which results in perfect fitment for any make and model. In this case, that includes a variety of widths in 19, 20, 21, and 22-inch sizes.

Color Options

There are a variety of color options available for the HF-5 as well, including Matte Gunmetal, Gloss Black (as seen here), Satin Silver, Anthracite, Satin Black, and Satin Bronze.

ZR1 Inspired

The Corvette itself has been treated to a wide array of body modifications that give it more of a custom ZR1 look than anything else. The front fascia is straight ZR1, and the rear wing is equally bodacious yet more of a custom aftermarket piece than OEM. The hood is also a ZR1-style bonnet, giving the front of the car a very aggressive look.

Slew of Mods

Wrapping up the massaged bodywork is a set of seriously flared fenders and front and rear diffusers. There are a slew of other modifications here, including new Michelin rubber and aftermarket taillights, which complement the fat 20x11.5-inch front and 20x12-inch rear wheels wrapped in massive 325 front and 345 rear series tires.

Two Worlds

The custom Corvette is certainly a looker, particularly when paired with its bright blue hue. It also isn't something you see every day as more of a JDM-inspired build centered on an American sports car. But in the end, somehow, this combination of two very different worlds just works.
